FISHING - Red Fish Capital of the World and Florida’s finest Off- shore Sport Fishing from Ponce Inlet. Our Backwater of the Intercostals Waterway produces some record fish such as SNOOK, REDFISH, GROUPER, FLOUNDER. Fishing Licenses are available for both residents and non- residents at www.myfwc.com

Ask about Charter Fishing Tours – Its easier than you think

KAYAKING - Volusia County is very Eco Friendly. There are several places to rent kayaks and Canoes  to appreciate the natural beauty of Real Florida. My favorite is Cracker Creek  Conoeing  which spans the untouched wilderness of Spruce Creek.

ARTS & CRAFTS – New Smyrna Beach is noted for being in the TOP 50 Small Art Communities. Many talents call New Smyrna Beach home from canvas, watercolor to Pottery & Sculptures. See Arts on Douglas and Atlantic Center for the Arts while your are visiting. Pick up some great antiques while you’re here. Come join us for the Art Walk  or for our many festivals held all year long.

SCHOOLS  - We are very proud of our Blue Ribbon High School  - New Smyrna Beach High School is home to the SHOWDOLLS –  National Dance Champions since 1988. New Smyrna High has moved to its new location in a brand new facility. Florida Wildlife Commission is considering making the old high school a fish hatchery

PARKS & RECREATION – Visit our historical part of town, stop in and see the Sugar MILL Ruins Park, Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Park, & Canaveral National Seashore, plus our new Sports Complex.

ENDANGERED SPECIES – Black Florida Panther still roam the area, Loggerhead & Green Turtles nest on our beach during Turtle Season, and while the summer months our river is graced by the Gentle giants just 30 minutes in the winter months Blue Springs State Park is home to the Manatee( I saw over  75 this year).
